Xiaomi has just launched the all-new Redmi 5 and 5 Plus at an event in Beijing today. The new devices bring a huge improvement over their predecessors. However, the biggest improvement is the adoption of the almost bezel-less display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Redmi 5 and 5 Plus Pricing and Availability
Redmi 5 and 5 Plus has been launched in China today in four different colors namely, black, blue, gold, and rose gold. However, Xiaomi has not made any announcement as to when the devices will reach other markets such as India. In Chine the Redmi 5 is costing CNY 799 (~ Rs. 7,800) for 2 GB/16GB variant and CNY 899 (~ Rs. 8,800) for 3GB/32GB version. The Redmi 5 Plus is starting at CNY 999 (~ Rs. 9,900) for the 3GB/32GB and CNY 1,299 (~ Rs. 12,700) for the 4GB/64GB version.
